Vibrazioni Art Design, home industrial Design and custom motorcycles from Italy.
VAD re-uses industrial containers, obsolete oil, gasoline, or grease cans, forces the old scrap onto the noble shape of a bike. Brands and logos remain and become part of the fairings, as virtual sponsors of a racing machine itself fictional.
In the spirit of the Superbikes covered with stickers, or Grand Prix 500cc racers from the 80s, we can easily envision Vibrazioni Art Design’s motorcycles aligning on a post-apocalyptic Bol d’Or starting grid, brutal and sharp , mechanical monuments dedicated to the glory of a civilization running on oil. Without pilots, the machines generate their own energy, their riveted fairing bubbles like neo-medieval helmets, bright colors suggesting lightness and speed, the desire to fight. By adopting the creative posture that allows the alteration from one shape to another, the mechanics/craftsmen of Vibrazioni replicate the process initiated with the french Nouveau Réalisme during the early 60s, which also defines the “Zero Style” from Shinya Kimura: transformation and sublimation through the recycling of industrial materials. Each object possesses its own history, which it preserves and transmits all along its metamorphoses. From an industrial and anonymous production, a specific personality is revealed, an object-individual that stands out as a unique and memorable artifact.
